PLEASE PRAY FOR GILAD SHALIT AND MOSAB HASAN YOUSEF

Please pray for Gilad Shalit.

Many Christians around the world are asking, “What is something I can do right now to bless Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus?” Tonight as the 2010 Epicenter Conference begins, I will be asking Christians to:

1.) Pray for the Lord to protect, encourage, comfort and provide for the immediate release of Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier who has been held captive by Hamas for exactly four years today. Pray, too, for the Lord to comfort and encourage his family and friends with His supernatural grace and mercy who have agonized with almost no information about their son all this time.

2.) At the same time, please pray for the Lord to comfort and encourage Mosab Hasan Yousef, the son of one of the founders of Hamas. By God’s amazing grace, Mosab has renounced Islam, turned against Hamas, become a follower of Jesus Christ and become a leading voice to bless Palestinians and Israelis and expose the vicious agenda and tactics of the Hamas terror movement. Please pray for the Lord to protect Mosab and change the heart of the U.S. government that is actively considering deporting Mosab back to the West Bank where he would very likely be assassinated, humanly speaking. I spoke with Mosab by phone yesterday and I’ll be giving an update on his status during tonight’s live webcast and TV/radio broadcast.
3.) If you are a pastor, please take time during your services this weekend to pray for the Lord to set Gilad Shalit free and to comfort his family, and to protect Mosab Hasan Yousef and grant him political asylum in the United States. Please pray, too, for Mosab’s family that has disowned him and remain committed to Hamas.

I know many of you have been praying for Gilad and Mosab in recent years. Thank you and please redouble your efforts. Let us not grow weary in well doing, but continue appealing to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to do a miracle and bless these two young men. May the Lord bless you as you do.

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has annointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and freedom to prisoners; to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting. So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:1-3)
